Life drawing sessions are held at the NDGW Adobe,
203 4th Street, San Juan Bautista.
Please pass this information on to others, who would like to
join the fun of drawing, painting or sculpting from a live model.
If you have a gallery or art business, please post this
information somewhere for others to see. I can easily send
you information to post if you wish. Thank you.
This is an on-going fun, fund raising event to support the
annual Student Art Talent Contest, sponsored by the
Native Daughters of the Golden West.
Items to bring are:
••• $ 15 (cash preferable) for facilities and model fees if there
are 5 or more artist attendees. (If there are 4 or less artist
attendees, the fee is $ 20 per session.)
These fees help to
support the annual NDGW Student Art Talent Contest,
which is giving opportunities for recognition to our youth in
San Benito County and pays for facilities costs to
NDGW for the use of their facilities.)
••• Music to share
••• Easel lights, as the overhead lights are turned off and it is now pretty dark.
••• Extra extension cords (multi-socket types are wonderful)
Arrive at 6 p.m. to set up. The model will be available by 6:30
p.m. for about 2 hours worth of drawing, painting and
sculpting of the figure from life.
Paints and pastels for small studies are welcome (water, oil or
acrylic) as long as you bring a drop cloth for the floor.
We are also featuring a sustained pose, meaning you will now have
about 4 more hours to create a study of one of our models.
See you all soon for a fun drawing session. For those who
want to really improve their drawing practice, it is suggested
that you do some drawings at home from figures, clothed or
non-clothed. Some sites to visit for interesting poses are:
